This painting depicts Durrmu (body painting dots), based on markings made on peoples' bodies for ceremonial dances.
Regina was born in 1948 near Daly River in the Northern Territory. In 2003, she won the most prestigious art award for Indigenous Australian artwork – The Telstra National Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander Art Award (NATSIAA).
Her fine work has been acquired by most major collections including The Art Gallery of New South Wales, Queensland Art Gallery, the National Gallery of Victoria and The British Museum.
