Susie Petyarre paints in the stories from Enteebra, a secret cave in Utopia where the Alyawarre women from a particular area gather to renew their roots and perform their ceremonies. This area is a very significant and important one for some of the Petyarre and Kngwarreye women of the Alyawarre tribe.

Susie began to paint in 1989 at Delmore. She is one of three sisters who always create very fine paintings, each in her own distinctive style but rooted in their mutual sacred area Enteebra. Influenced by the beautiful flowering plants that come with the good seasons on Utopia, Susie's work exhibits her own unique interpretation. She is a gifted, dedicated and industrious artist whose work is highly sought because of its contemporary appeal.

Her sisters, Annie and Jessie, and her niece, Genella, often paint together and they frequently keep one another company. While they have varied their styles over the years, they have always created a high demand by the quality of their work.
